One of my favorite quotes from my favorite book. The nib fought me on this. I tried a temporary nib reservoir (but the tape fell off) and without it the ink did not flow well. Not my best effort (I need to work on my flair). . .but not bad.

HA! That's from Illusions! I remember reading that book (for the first time) on my flight out from Jersey for my graduate school interview with Jim at Irvine. It was you who recommended to me. It's a GREAT book, Charlie. I still have my original copy, and have highlighted several of the quotes in it. Nice job with the calligraphy. Thanks a glimpse into our shared history :)
ReplyDeleteHow great! As my handwriting is getting worse and worse these last few years, and lacks even a consistent slant or way that I write certain capital letters ("A" in particular), I'm eaily impressed by ANY decent handwriting, and your calligraphy is far beyond that. :) Enjoy the quote too. It made me look up quotes from Illusions and the one that, today at least, really strikes home is: “Remember where you came from, where you're going, and why you created this mess you got yourself into in the first place.”
